Kerri Taylor currently serves as the Director of Bands for Ariton School. A native of Brundidge, Alabama, she brings nearly two decades of diverse educational experience to the program, having previously served as a High School Director of Bands, Elementary Music Specialist, and Behavior Interventionist.

Ms. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Music Education from Troy University. During her tenure at Troy, she was a prominent leader within the nationally renowned "Sound of the South" Marching band, serving as both a section leader and later as a Graduate Assistant. Her performance credits include serving as Principal Trumpet for the Troy University Symphonic Band and performing as Third Trumpet for the Music South Symphony Orchestra in Dothan, Alabama. While her principal instrument is the trumpet, she possesses wide-ranging ensemble proficiency in percussion, voice, woodwinds, and horn.

In addition to her musical expertise, Ms. Taylor is a highly qualified specialist in student development. She earned an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Collaborative Education from Auburn University at Montgomery, with a specialized focus on Special Education Policy. Her background as a Collaborative Educator and Resource Specialist allows her to effectively support students with individualized learning needs within the fine arts.

Ms. Taylor is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Administration of Elementary and Secondary Schools at Auburn University. She is an active member of several prestigious professional and honor organizations, including: Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society; Omicron Delta Kappa, National Leadership Honor Society; Sigma Alpha Iota, International Music Fraternity for Women; Tau Beta Sigma, National Honorary Band Sorority; Kappa Delt Pi, International Honor Society in Education.

Ms. Taylor is dedicated to fostering a culture of musical excellence, leadership, and inclusive growth for all students at Ariton School.
